Copy a CD to remix it

This guide will help you try out the skills and software you need to to remix a track from a CD. The first stage to copy the audio from the CD, this is a process called 'ripping'. To do this we will use VLC. In order to edit the audio you'll need to import the ripped file into Audacity.

You will need;

• A computer with a CD drive and VLC and Audacity installed. Visit the links to install this software if you don't have them already.
• A CD with music or any other recording on it, such as an interview
